Three new S-series AV devices from Denon will be coming to our market: the AVR-S760H, AVR-S660H and AVC-S660H. Each of them is equipped with three HDMI 8K inputs (six in total) to meet the expectations of home cinema and gaming enthusiasts who want to use the latest 8K sources. The receivers implement the latest technologies to deliver immersive surround sound experiences for movies, games and music, and offer advanced voice control and connectivity options.
"With Denon's new S-Series AV receivers, users can build the ultimate 4K home theatre today and be confident that their AV receiver is ready for 8K when needed," said Trip Randall, president of Denon. "These AV receivers offer unique benefits and features to meet demanding home entertainment needs at an affordable price for customers ready to take a step up from entry-level systems or soundbars. With seven channels of pure power, the AVR-S760H offers advanced capabilities such as support for Dolby Atmos or DTS:X formats for the most realistic, immersive home cinema experience."
AVR-S760H - 7.2-channel AV Receiver
The Denon AVR-S760H 7.2-channel AV receiver is a feature-rich home entertainment centre with superior sound and picture quality. The AVR-S760H offers the latest immersive 3D surround sound formats, an advanced 4K and 8K HDMI video section and the HEOS Built-in multi-room music streaming platform.
With seven channels of amplification at 75W each (8 ohms, 20Hz-20kHz, THD: 0.08%, 2 channels), the receiver delivers a realistic 3D audio experience. It uses the latest surround sound formats including Dolby Atmos, Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization Technology, DTS:X and DTS Virtual:X to do so. Home cinema enthusiasts can build a superb Dolby Atmos 5.1.2 surround sound system based on ceiling speakers or dedicated Dolby Atmos speakers placed on loudspeakers (floor or bookshelf). They can also enjoy a multi-dimensional listening experience with DTS Virtual:X and Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization technologies without using ceiling speakers or even surround speakers. These technologies simulate 3D sound effects and are invaluable when placing more speakers in a room is impractical or even impossible.
Advanced 8K HDMI section with eARC
To ensure the best possible picture quality, the AVR-S660H, AVC-S660H and AVR-S760H are equipped with an advanced HDMI section, including three 8K HDMI inputs supporting 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz signal transmission at up to 40Gbps. To deliver uncompressed and object-encoded audio from the TV to the receiver, simply connect the devices via HDMI cable via eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel).
All HDMI inputs (6 inputs / 1 output) offer support for 4:4:4 Pure Color sub sampling, HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG), Dynamic HDR and BT.2020 for exceptional picture quality. Users can also enjoy scaling to 8K on all inputs and support for HDCP 2.3, the latest copy protection standard, for seamless content playback. Gamers have a range of technologies to support smooth and fast gameplay, including 4K/120Hz resolution and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Quick Frame Transport (QFT) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) modes.
Hi-Res & Multi-Room music streaming
The Denon AVR-S660H, AVC-S660H and AVR-S760H receivers offer Apple AirPlay 2 compatibility for iPhone users, and the front-panel USB port lets you stream hi-res music in WAV, FLAC, ALAC and DSD 2.8 /5.6 MHz formats from external drives. Wireless connectivity to popular music services such as Spotify, Pandora and Tidal, for example, is possible via Bluetooth or the HEOS Built-in platform. With the latter, AV receivers can wirelessly stream music to HEOS ecosystem-compatible devices, such as the Denon Home 150/250/350 wireless speakers. Listeners can use the HEOS app to play the same song throughout the house, or select a different song for each room.
Additional features
With an upgraded feature package, all AV receivers offer many new capabilities. "Dialog Enhancer" allows users to adjust dialogue levels at a glance, and the newly added HDMI signal information function allows users to ensure that 8K60 or 4K120 signals and other HDR formats are correctly received by the AV receiver. In addition, the AVR-S760H features 'Dual Speaker Presets', allowing users to remember and instantly switch between two different speaker configurations and Audyssey settings. The new S Series receivers are also compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, Apple Siri enabling voice control of receiver functions.
The new receivers are easy to set up. Once connected to the TV via HDMI, Denon Setup Assistant seamlessly guides users through the entire connection and calibration process. The new S-Series AV receivers can also automatically rename HDMI inputs when source devices are connected, but these can always be set manually if required.
